I’ve always been a fan of Agnes Martin, both the work

and the contemplations.


Positing a repetitive minimal grid against the traditional notion of a flash of inspiration, lead to a simultaneous desire to create and destroy a created patina of order, which manifested itself in marks similar to those that a flash of lightening burns into a tree.


Patient, hand drawn lines in silver point, were ripped apart and then healed with gold size and silver. A sort of reparation of the artist for making the image, inspired by the Japanese idea of Kintsuge.
